Lynda has a wide experience of working with children with additional needs and was part of a Paediatric Team for many years.
We currently have 7 Trustees all registered with the Charity Commission UK. Their input and support is invaluable!
High Hopes for Children is a UK registered Charity 1159495. We work with and support vulnerable children in UK, Uganda and Eastern Europe. Our aim is to support the children, parents and carers to enable children to reach their full potential! .
We work with professionals, Occupational and Physio therapists, teachers, rehabilitation workers and of course the parents! We assess children's levels of ability. We support parents and teachers to gain better understanding of their child's condition enabling access to school and specialist teaching.

We have carried out whole school training which helps the children to have their needs met. Children have access to rehabilitation and physiotherapy and quality teaching! APT, adaptive paper technology.
We run 2-week workshops to enable people to make bespoke adaptive equipment for children who need extra physical support and postural management. The equipment is made out of newspaper and cardboard with a flour paste for glue. The equipment is sturdy, can easily be repaired and adapted and can be made comf

We run 2-week workshops to enable people to make bespoke adaptive equipment for children who need extra physical support and postural management. The equipment is made out of newspaper and cardboard with a flour paste for glue. The equipment is sturdy, can easily be repaired and adapted and can be made comfortable for the child enabling a better access to education. We have run several workshops in Moldova and Uganda with great success! The photo shows a booster seat which enables a child to sit at a bench desk and makes writing easier. The child is then included and integrated into a class.

High Hopes for Children have now taken over and have committed to help with sustainability for the work. We also have an agricultural area to increase income of the local people and again to make the project more sustainable!
